SocNets feel private, but they are not
Social Networks (SocNets) feel private but they are not private. My most recent confirmation of this is on Yammer.Com. Even if you delete your account Yammer permanently keeps your data. By design. But did you realize that it also includes your photo? And when you change your photo the old ones remain?
I’m disappointed to have to also report that all photos are world readable; my old and new photos can be viewed without logging in just by knowing the URL!
It’s time to develop a Yammer best practice guide. But the number one rule will probably always be: Think before you post.

Also disappointing is that the metadata is retained in the image file. Some services clear the metadata on upload but, currently, Yammer doesn’t
